Before Yale: A four-year starter at Mt. Carmel High School... Two-time honorable mention all-league selection... Batted .476 in league play as a sophomore... In a 14-game stretch as a senior she hit .424... Received the school's Sportsman of the Year Award as a senior... Named to the Union-Tribune All-Academic Team as both a junior and senior... Mt. Carmel had a 29-3 record, captured the state championship and outscored its opponents 199-38 in her senior year... Played for the San Diego Renegades club team and was part of the national champion 10U B PQ Lightning.
