2007: Recipient of the team's Most Improved Player Award... Second on the team in RBI (24), tied for second in runs (19) and third in batting average (.301)... Tied for the team lead in multiple RBI games with five and had the team's longest hitting streak (11 games) of the season... Hit a grand slam homer at Brown... Also homered against Columbia... Improved her batting average in Ivy League games nearly 150 points from 2006.

2006: Earned honorable mention All-Ivy recognition in the outfield... Started all 50 games... Tied for the Ivy League lead in runs scored (33), was second in stolen bases (9) and tied for second in home runs (7)... Her seven home runs tied for the second most in a single season in school history... Her 33 runs tied for the fourth most... Started strong, getting at least one hit in eight of her first 10 games... First career homer came in just her second game... Had three hits, including a double and a homer, scored five runs, knocked in three and walked once in a doubleheader with Fairleigh Dickinson... Also had a big day against Central Connecticut, going 4-for-7 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI... Finished with 10 multi-hit games and her season long hitting streak was six games.

Before Yale: Earned first team all-state honors in 2004 at Eaglecrest High School... Three-time all-league selection and team most valuable player... Selected as Eaglecrest's Class of 2005 Best Female Athlete... Eaglecrest had two top-five finishes in the state during her career.

Personal: Resides in Silliman College... Daughter of Lorry Hanson and Carol Van Gytenbeek.
