High School: Belling was a member of the 2007 National Doublehanded High School Sailing Championship (Mallory) Team from Newport Harbor High School. Belling also took second place at 2007 Baker Trophy Team Race Nationals.

Belling was the sailing team captain senior year and won four varsity letters in sailing. Also ran cross-country for three years. 2005 Bemis National Champion in the Club 420 and took second place at FJ Nationals.

Was a four year Academic Letter winner and Valedictorian Scholar in 2007.

Personal: member of Saybrook College and is undecided on a major.
