Trio of Bulldogs Named Honorable Mention All-Ivy

Feb. 27, 2008

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Three Bulldogs -- sophomore defenseman Alyssa Clarke (Donkin, N.S.), junior forward Crysti Howser (Wilmette, Ill.) and freshman goaltender Jackee Snikeris (Downingtown, Pa.) -- were named honorable mention All-Ivy League Wednesday.

Clarke had six of her 12 points for the season in Ivy games, including a pair of goals and an assist against Cornell and assists against Brown, Dartmouth and Princeton. Noted as one of Yale's most reliable defenders, she has missed just one game in her first two seasons.

Clarke is a graduate of Ridley College.

Howser, who leads Yale in points (9-18-27), had a pair of three-point outings in key Ivy wins for the Bulldogs. She had a goal and two assists in Yale's five-goal third-period comeback for a 5-2 win at Cornell in November. She also had a goal and two assists in Yale's 3-3 tie at Dartmouth in February.

Howser is a graduate of New Trier High School.

Snikeris made five starts in Ivy League games, compiling a .944 save percentage and a 1.56 goals-against average. She shut out Brown in November and Cornell in January for two of her four shutouts on the season, a record for Yale freshmen.

Snikeris is a graduate of the Taft School.

Yale, the No. 7 seed in the ECAC Hockey playoffs, travels to No. 2 seed St. Lawrence for a best-of-three quarterfinal series Feb. 29-Mar. 2. This is the Bulldogs' seventh straight playoff appearance.
