Saucon Valley, Pa. - The Yale women's golf team finished in second place out of eight teams at the Lehigh Invitational on Sunday. Ellie Brophy and Lindsay Hong both shot 163 over two rounds and finished tied for third place. The Bulldogs, who shot 653 as a team, were edged out by Harvard for the top spot.

The Crimson shot 639 to win the tournament, which was being played at the Weyhill Course at Saucon Valley Country Club.

It was the third consecutive event that Yale finished in second place or better. At the end of September, the Bulldogs won the Yale Intercollegiate. Last week, they took second at the Rutgers Invitational.

The University of Pennsylvania and Brown were the only other Ivy teams to compete in the event. The two teams finished in sixth and seventh place, respectively.

Brophy shot an 84 on the first day, before rebounding with a team-best 79 on the second day. The senior captain, along with Lindsay Hong (82-81), both shot 163.

The other Bulldogs were not far behind. Cassie Boles took sixth place with 164 (82-82). Taylor Lee was just one stroke behind Boles with 83-82-165 and a seventh place finish.

Natasha Spackey (82-89-171, T21) and Harriet Owers-Bradley (90-83-173, T25) also competed for the Blue.

The Bulldogs are back in action on October 28 at the Ross Invitational in Southern Pines, NC.
