In high school Emily was a competitive horseback rider as both a hunter and a jumper competing in A rated shows.

At Yale, she coxed the JV her freshman and sophomore years, winning silver medals at Eastern Sprints both times. Her freshman year, the JV also finished fifth at NCAAs. Last year, she coxed the varsity to a bronze medal at Sprints. She has also been named an Academic All American and a member of the CRCA New England second team.

Emily is a senior is Silliman College.
