Before Yale: A four-year starter at South Eugene High School... Named the Southwest Conference Player of the Year as a senior after scoring 23 goals in 14 games... First team all-state selection... Scored 16 goals and earned honorable mention all-state and first team all-league recognition as a junior.... South Eugene was undefeated in league play in his four years and reached the quarterfinals of the state tournament three times... Played club soccer for two years with the Westside Metros Storm, which was league champion and state runner-up in 2006 and state champion in 2007... Spent three years in the Oregon ODP.
