Four members of the Yale football team have been named to the Sports Network's 2007 All-America Team. Junior TB Mike McLeod made the second team while senior OG Jeff Monaco, junior LB Bobby Abare and senior NG Brandt Hollander all were honorable mention.

McLeod, who will be honored as the Walter Camp Football Foundation's Connecticut Player of the Year this weekend, was also named to the American Football Coaches Association Football Championship Subdivision All-America Team.

McLeod, a first-team All-Ivy pick for the second season, was named Ivy League Player of the Year after breaking Yale's single-season records for rushing yards and touchdowns. He became Yale's first Ivy MVP in 20 years (QB Kelly Ryan in 1987) after running for 1,619 yards and 23 TDs and leading the nation for most of the year in average yards per game. He managed these numbers despite playing the last five games with a broken bone in his toe.

Hollander, Abare and Monaco were all first-team All-Ivy selections. Hollander, the 2007 Yale captain, will play for the East in this Saturday's Hula Bowl All-Star Classic in Honolulu. Abare led the Blue with 86 tackles while Monaco helped pave the way for one of the best ground attacks in Yale football history.
