At City Honors School, Jack Vogelsang rowed varsity for all four years and captained his team. His gold medals at the New York State Championships in both 2003 and 2004 were his high school program's first wins. He took 3rd place at Scholastic Nationals his junior year. He also played varsity hockey and founded his school's squash team, playing both sports for two years.

Jack attended Junior National Selection Camp twice and made the team (4-) after his senior year of high school. While at Yale, Jack has helped bring numerous victories to the team, including last year's varsity win over Harvard in the Harvard-Yale Regatta. He is the 2007-2008 captain of Yale Heavyweight Crew and hopes to have even greater success this year.

Jack is a senior in Calhoun College. He is an African American Studies major and would like to pursue a joint JD/MBA degree after graduating.
