During his freshman year, Matthew rowed bow seat in the freshman eight boat.

At University of Chicago Lab, Matthew also lettered in swimming, where he swam breaststroke.

Matthew is a junior in Branford College intending to major in Physics. His interests include canoeing and the outdoors. His older sister Emma graduated from Yale in 2006.
