with Yale Senior Shannon Farrell
Farrell has been a significant contributor to the Yale Volleyball team
throughout her first three years with the Bulldogs. As a sophomore she
shared the team MVP title and made Al l- Ivy first team. As a junior
Farrell again earned first team All -- Ivy. She finished the year
as the only player in the Ivy League to finish in the top ten in three
different categories. Look online to find the next Yale Volleyball home

What is your most memorable childhood memory? Skiing
with my family in Tahoe every winter.
When
you were younger what did you want to be when you grew up?
I went through phases; one year I wanted to be an Olympic figure skater,
so I practiced on my roller blades in my driveway.
What
was your favorite TV show and Movie as a child? My favorite
TV show was Full House and my favorite movie was The Little Mermaid.
What
was the name of your first pet? My cat Peanuts.
What
is your favorite ice cream flavor? Coffee or Mint Chocolate

is your favorite type of candy? Peanut Butter M&Ms

food could you eat practically everyday? My mom's spaghetti
Which
superhero is your favorite: Spiderman or Superman? Why? Superman
because he can fly
If
you had a choice to be invisible or able to fly what would you rather
be and why? I would want to be able to fly because you could
see everything from above and you could get places much quicker.
What
is something you've never done, but would like to try?
I would like to travel around the world.
Do
you have any superstitions? If so what are they and do they
relate to your athletics? I am very superstitious. I always wear a pink
ribbon in my hair when I play; I have to shake my teammates hands in
the same order; I listen to the same songs on my ipod.
Who
is your role model and why? My grandmother is my role model
because she has done so many amazing things in her lifetime.
Why
did you choose Yale? I chose Yale because of the academic opportunities
as well as the amazing traditions of the university.
What
are your future plans? Next year and those following are up
in the air for me, but I know for sure that I hope to have a family
some day.
