GRAD-PRO WINTER VOLLEYBALL REGISTRATION INFORMATION
REGISTRATION: ALL FORMS MUST BE COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED WITH THE REGISTRATION FEE PRIOR TO THE DEADLINE. ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST BE HAND DELIVERED TO ROOM 509 PWG. TEAMS REGISTERING LATE OR WITHOUT THE FEE ARE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST. Captains remember to complete the proper registration form with all required information (especially league choice and preferred playing days) and to return it to the Intramural Sports Office, Room 509 PWG. Be advised that in order to form leagues your choices may not be honored. Our office will attempt to reach you to inform you of any changes. Please include $20 cash as a registration deposit fee. The money will be returned in full at the conclusion of the season, however, a team loses the fee for any forfeit and after the second forfeit the team is removed from the schedule. Individuals unaffiliated with a team should show up at the captains meeting and asked to be drafted onto teams.
COMPETITIVE LEAGUE: The teams of talented players will be divided into divisions to ensure similar playing schedules. The schedule should include a round robin tournament followed by playoffs. The playoff schedule depends on the available space and time but will include a minimum of the top teams in each division. If appropriate, after deciding Saturday and Sunday winners a league championship game will be scheduled. Playoffs usually begin after the undergraduate spring break.
RECREATIONAL LEAGUE: The teams of enthusiastic players with no gender requirements will be divided into divisions to ensure similar playing schedules. The schedule should include a round robin tournament followed by playoffs. The playoff schedule depends on the available space and time but will include a minimum of the top teams in each division. If appropriate, after deciding Saturday and Sunday winners a league championship game will be scheduled.
CORECREATIONAL LEAGUE: Teams with a minimum of two players from both genders will be placed into one division. The schedule should include a round robin tournament followed by playoffs. The playoff schedule depends on the available space and time but will include a minimum of the top four teams.
SPECIAL NOTES: All participants in the league must be members or guests of members of the Payne Whitney Gym. All grad-pro students are considered members of the gym but must present proper identification to enter. Guest passes must be purchased for non-student gym users at the Lobby Desk and are valid only for the day on which they are issued. The facilities used for the games are Room H & K on the 5th floor and the Amphitheater (selected Sundays only). Please keep this sheet for reference.
