GRAD-PRO Fall Soccer Registration Information
ENTRY DEADLINE: Friday, September 14 @ 4 PM
To be considered for inclusion in the league team rosters must be submitted and the registration fee collected by the deadline. The Intramural Office will be opened until 4 PM on the final day of registration. When entering a team the captain should list his/her telephone numbers and address, and the team's name and department on the registration form. Please indicate the preferred league and any potential scheduling conflicts. Finally, list all players on the roster. Additional players may be added to the roster later in the season, but they must be added the Friday before the scheduled game to be eligible. No new players may be added after the last regular season game. Deposit the registration fee with the Intramural Administrative Assistant. Unfortunately, the possibility of inadequate team registration could cause the combination or cancellation of the leagues. NOTE: Co-recreational teams must field four women players at all times as outlined in the rules.
Teams should plan to play a round robin followed by playoffs. All games are played on Sunday afternoons. Referees are not provided however a field attendant is available to provide equipment and to start the games. The season begins the weekend after Captains' meetings and must be concluded before Thanksgiving break. Playoff teams must be prepared to play on either Saturday or Sunday. Since New England falls are notorious for threatening weather conditions and available time is limited, no games will be postponed nor any rescheduled. Nevertheless, if a team is unable to play a scheduled game because of a conflict then the captains may try to reschedule the game on their own. If the game is not replayed then it will be recorded as a loss for the team with the conflict but will have no consequence on the forfeit fee.
After the first forfeit a team will lose its registration deposit. After the second forfeit it is expelled from the league and any remaining games are automatic wins for the opponents. Any team that forfeits during the regular season jeopardizes its playoff chances.
Captains please plan to attend the
Captain's Meeting on Wednesday, September 19 at 5:15 PM in the
PWG Trophy Room, 2nd Floor. Please direct any questions to
432-2487.
