Brick with steel trusses. Roof is BUR with 3,024 2' x 4' lights of glass in steel framework. Current track is "Textured Athlaprene", installed by En Tout Cas. The rubber/urethane infield was installed by the Copeland Co., AKA Dalton Enterprises, the firm that built and maintains the Decoturf tennis courts. |
| Renovations |
The building was fully renovated in 1981-82, following a design developed by Herbert S. Newman. The grandstand, offices, and batting cages were constructed, the entire floor was laid with athletic surfaces, new lighting was added, and all steel work recoated. |
